Enabling investments in African Infrastructure through the provision of seasoned local expertise with a global perspective.

Streamstone Africa is an infrastructure investment and development advisory firm based in Nairobi, Kenya, offering early stage project preparation, project finance, PPP, and construction project management services with a Sub-Saharan Africa focus.

Streamstone was born out of a need to bridge the knowledge, information, and execution capacity gaps that exist in the preparation & implementation of infrastructure, housing and energy projects in Africa.

It is estimated that Africa has an annual infrastructure financing gap of approximately 100 billion USD, a housing deficit of at least 51 million units and lack of energy access of approximately 40 percent of its population.

Much of these deficits are expected to be met by Private sector players, who face significant challenges in investing in Africa ranging from regulatory hurdles, project preparation challenges, stakeholder management concerns, financing, sustainability, and inadequate/unreliable local market intelligence.

We at Streamstone Africa pride ourselves in being able to offer unmatched services based on our understanding and knowledge of the African infrastructure terrain, augmented by a network of partner organizations and local experts with a global perspective.

Through our project preparation platform, we engage in early stage project structuring through a range of services designed to help project sponsors and developers move their projects from idea stage all the way to financial close.

We also engage in project pipeline preparation, working with clients seeking a steady stream of high-quality projects as part of their investment objectives.

Through our project management platform, we support the implementation of projects that have achieved financial close and require construction and operation management.

Other areas of engagement include PPP advisory, Sustainability, Capacity Building, Research & Market Intelligence and Policy & Advocacy work.
